Stephen Jones Design was established in 1998. The primary focus is to provide good design striking a balance between art, science, innovation and compliance for the present whilst looking to the future. We adopt a collaborative interactive design process that provides a range of options to move forward with consensus to successful completion. We maintain a commitment to provide a balance between an efficient build cost and an environmentally and longevity responsible design.
Our practice encompasses all aspects of residential, commercial, cultural and multi-use projects on a variety of scales from single storey to highrise.
Instant and continual attention to the assignment by the Principal is given, backed by a team of dedicated staff and CAD operations. With an involvement in architecture for over 30 years, a sound reputation and wide network of collaborative consultants and associated industry people has been developed.
After completing tertiary studies, Stephen began work in various civil design companies. Pursuing a passion for architecture, he then worked for various architectural practices and a design and construction company in hospitality as design and project manager on various large-scale projects. Over the years Stephen has spent significant time “hands on” building and living & travelling aboard. Both valuable assets for under standing construction and design. He formed his own planning and building design company in 1992, working closely with property developers on a range of medium to large projects including a 200 room resort with restaurants and conference facilities in the Philippines and a 7 Star Resort in Fiji.
